Stakeholders are urging the government to establish a permanent care home for cancer patients, particularly those referred from upcountry health facilities, as they await their next treatment appointments. Currently, the Uganda Cancer Institute (UCI) operates a temporary care home to accommodate these patients, but the facility is overwhelmed.
