Although the  Parish Development Model and Emyooga programs intended to fight poverty are improving the livelihood of many people, their uptake is still hampered by low repayment of loans. 

According to the Government Chief Whip Hamson Obua, an assessment in  Alebtong District indicates that there are several success stories and a lot of failed projects.
