Members of parliament, health workers, cultural leaders, and community health teams have come out to fight malaria to ensure that the disease is drastically reduced. Prof. Peter Waiswa says the region is experiencing maternal and child mortality as well as increased cases of premature and stillbirths due to the high malaria prevalence. Over 150 billion shillings will be spent.
