The Prime Minister, Robina Nabbanja, has called on local governments across East Africa to prioritize service delivery and wealth creation if they are to remain relevant. On the other hand, Uganda’s Local Government Minister, Rafael Magyezi, called for total devolution to empower local governments. Local government ministers and associations are meeting in Kampala this week to discuss how best to improve service delivery in Uganda.
